Winter must Have's!

Its that chilly time of the year again, Winter, and seemingly the chill get worse every year. The colder it is, the lazier we get. It's difficult getting out of bed, its difficult leaving the house, going to the gym is a mission (well for me) and all you want to do is stay snuggled up in your blankets, eating foods that you'll regret having in the season to come.

In short, Winter for me is a very unpleasant season. If i had my way I'd just skip it, hibernate maybe, because i just cannot bear the cold. Its unfortunate though that life will not wait for me, the hustle continues right through winter. So, i found a coping mechanism... And i wanna share it with you. 

10 Items that make Winter pleasant:

1. The Electric Blanket

An electric blanket is an electric heating device which is placed below the bottom bed sheet. It is used to pre-heat the bed before use or to keep the occupant warm while in bed. The Nice thing about the one at Woolworths is that you can set the temperature you want and the hours you want it on between one to eight hours.

2. Fan Heater

A fan heater works by using a fan to pass air over a heating element. This heats up the air, which then leaves the heater, warming up the surrounding room. The nice ting about it is that it is portable and works really fast. The Russel Hobbs Fan Heater can be found at Woolworths for R 299






3. Hot Water Bottle

This item is easy to use and is extremely affordable. all you do is boil water and pour it in the bottle and its done. The nice thing about it is, you can use it at the office, in bed or just when you're sitting around watching TV. At Jet Mart it goes for R 19.99







4. Fleece Blankets

Just to snuggle up while watching that movie or series. It even comes in handy when travelling during the cold winter days and when you're up and studying late for that exam. This Fleece Blanket goes for R 149 at @HOME

5. Coat

 Just because its cold it doesn't mean that you don't have to look good. A coat, and they come in many lengths, sizes, colours and designs, is the perfect thing to have. I just recently bought my first one and oh how it makes me warm! The one in the picture can be found at Foshini and goes for R 590.



6. Boots

Another must have are boots. not only are they helpful for extremely cold day but they are life savers for the rainy days during the winter season. i took a particular liking to these Riding Boots available at Edgars available for R 399.95



7. Stockings/Opaques

Some ladies just feel comfortable wearing their short dresses even through winter because they still want to look good. Stocking are a must have for them because their legs are covered by stockings or opaque tights. The one in the picture  regulate your temperature and manage moisture for superior comfort, so you feel your best all day. you can buy them at Woolworths for R 59.95.

8. Scarf and Gloves

Scarfs protect your neck from the cold and keep you warm.

Gloves keep your hands warm. I don't own these yet but they are definitely on my to buy list.

10. Soup

What better to close of the list like Soup. The only item on my list that warms you on the inside. Knorr Cup-a-Soup is one of my most favourite things to have during winter. I love it especially because you can just pop a sachet in your purse and during tea time you can make it for yourself. you'll just feel all fuzzy inside.
